What WatchSalon is — and is not

WatchSalon indexes watch listings from dealers’ own websites and makes them searchable in one place. Every listing links out to the dealer it came from.

WatchSalon is not a marketplace. We are not a party to any sale, we hold no goods and no money, we run no escrow, and we take no commission. Any purchase is between you and the dealer, on the dealer’s terms.

Listings and accuracy

Listings, prices, and availability are collected from dealers’ sites and can lag or contain errors — a watch may be sold, repriced, or withdrawn before our next check. Every listing is timestamped (first seen, last checked) so you can judge freshness yourself. Always verify price and availability with the dealer before acting on anything you see here.

Prices shown in other currencies are converted at indicative exchange rates for orientation only; the dealer’s own invoice currency and price are what count.

Price history and market data on this site are information, not advice. Nothing here is a valuation, an investment recommendation, or a promise about future prices.

Accounts

Browsing never requires an account. An account exists for alerts, saved searches, the wishlist, and followed dealers, and is free. You must be at least 18 to create one, and the details you register must be yours.

You can delete your account at any time, and we may suspend or close accounts used to abuse the service (see acceptable use). Paid features, if and when they exist, will never affect search ranking or inclusion in the index.

Acceptable use

• Do not disrupt or overload the service, or try to access accounts or data that are not yours.
• Do not misuse dealer contact details shown on the site — they are published for genuine purchase inquiries.
• Do not misrepresent WatchSalon, or present our pages as your own.
• Automated access to public pages is tolerated at reasonable rates; abusive scraping or anything that degrades the service for others is not.

Content and trademarks

Watch brands, dealer names, and product photographs belong to their owners. WatchSalon is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any brand or dealer shown, unless expressly stated.

The selection, arrangement, and presentation of the index — and the text we generate — are ours. Facts themselves (references, prices, dates) are free for anyone.

Dealers

Listing in the index is free, forever. A dealer can have their catalog unpublished on request within one working day — the retained record is anonymised. Corrections, unpublish requests, and data-export requests all reach us at the address below.

Paid services and sponsorship

WatchSalon may offer paid services to dealers. These affect presentation only — for example a dealer's logo, a hosted catalog, or authored content on their profile. They never affect search ranking, ordering, or inclusion in the index.

We do not sell placement inside search results, listings, or any editorially selected module. Sponsored content, if any, appears only in clearly labeled slots separate from the index.

If paid features exist one day, existing members get twelve months notice of any price change. There are no listing brackets and no automatic upgrades.

Liability

The service is provided as is. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for decisions made on the basis of listing data, for a dealer’s conduct, or for interruptions of the service. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited — including for intent or gross negligence — or affects your statutory rights as a consumer.

Changes

We may update these terms as the product evolves. The date below tells you when they last changed. For account holders, we announce material changes by email before they take effect; continuing to use the site after that means the current version applies. The commitments marked permanent in our privacy page do not change.

Governing law

These terms are governed by Swiss law, and the courts of Zug, Switzerland are the place of jurisdiction. If you are a consumer, this does not remove the mandatory protections of the country you live in.
