WatchSalonBot
WatchSalonBot is the indexer behind WatchSalon, a listings index for mechanical watches. It reads watch dealers' own websites — never marketplaces — to keep their listings findable in one place, and every visitor is linked back to the dealer. This page identifies the indexer so site owners and reviewers can verify who is asking.

A request claiming to be WatchSalonBot from any other address is not us. To check, resolve both ways:

Each request carries a Web Bot Auth signature: HTTP Message Signatures (RFC 9421) made with an Ed25519 key. The public key directory is at /.well-known/http-message-signatures-directory, and a rotated key replaces the old one there. The current key's ID (its JWK thumbprint):

- robots.txt is honored — a disallow stops us.
- Per-domain rate limits: slow, spaced requests, never bursts.
- Conditional GETs (ETag / Last-Modified), so unchanged pages cost nothing.
- No login areas, no paywalls, no circumvention — public pages only.
- Removal requests are honored within one working day.
