WatchSalon Dealer Agreement
This agreement is between WatchSalon AG, the operator of watchsalon.com (“WatchSalon”, “we”) and the dealer named in the account (“you”). You accept it once, when you create or claim your dealer account. It covers everything the dealer portal can do. Each feature below starts only when you turn it on. You can turn each one off at any time.
Entity note: WatchSalon is operated by WatchSalon AG, Lauriedstrasse 1, 6300 Zug, Switzerland (UID CHE-259.994.747). This text is still a preview: Version 1.0, reviewed with the lawyer, is the first version any dealer can accept, and until it is published this agreement is not in force.
1. What WatchSalon is
WatchSalon is a listings index. We show watch listings and link out to the seller. We are not a party to any sale. We hold no goods and no money. We take no commission. Browsing is free for everyone.
2. What is always true
- Listing in the index is free, forever.
- Paid features change presentation only. They never affect search ranking or inclusion in the index.
- If paid features exist one day, you get twelve months notice of any price change. There are no listing brackets and no automatic upgrades.
- You can leave at any time. If you unpublish, your listings leave the live index the same day.
- Retention: after unpublishing, anonymised price history is retained — reference, price, dates, condition, country. Not your name, not your photos, not your text. A disappearing listing is market information, and we keep market information.
- We never publish who follows or saves your listings. You see counts only.
3. Indexing your site (when you connect it)
If you connect your website or a product feed, you permit us to crawl it and to show your listings in the index, with your name, linking to your pages. We crawl politely and honor robots rules. You can disconnect at any time; your listings then leave the live index the same day. While your account stays open, your history stays on your profile. If you leave WatchSalon entirely (section 10), section 2 applies.
4. Content you add in the portal (when you publish it)
Text you write in the portal (about, FAQ, shipping, terms of sale) and listings you add by hand are yours. You give us permission to display them on WatchSalon, attributed to you. You confirm the content is true, is yours to publish, and describes real watches you offer. We may remove content that breaks these rules and will tell you when we do.
5. Your photos (when you upload or approve storage)
When you upload photos, or approve local storage of your crawled photos, you give us permission to store and display them for your listings and your pages. They remain yours. If you revoke this permission, we stop using stored copies and purge them within one working day, and your listings fall back to linking your own images where possible. Listings with no website to link back to then show without photos.
6. Sold showcase (when you turn it on)
If you turn on the sold showcase, watches you mark as sold stay visible on your own WatchSalon page, with your name and photos, for the period you choose (90 days, 12 months, or forever). Sold items never show prices. If you turn the showcase off, the section disappears the same day. Nothing else about your listings changes.
7. Your logo and name
You permit us to show your logo and business name on your page and, with the presentation tier, on your listing cards. You confirm you have the right to grant this.
8. Your data
You can export your data at any time. What you see in your dashboard about your own listings is yours to take. Aggregated market statistics (prices, references, dates across the whole market) are our work and may be published or licensed in anonymised form; they never name you and never contain personal data.
9. Accounts and people
Only people authorized by your business may manage your dealer account. You are responsible for the people you invite. We may suspend accounts used to abuse the service or to publish false listings.
10. Changes and ending
We may update this agreement as the product grows. We announce material changes by email before they take effect. You may end this agreement at any time by unpublishing and closing the account; sections 2 and 8 survive.
11. Liability and law
The service is provided as is. We are not liable for decisions made on listing data or for interruptions, to the extent the law allows. Nothing limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited. This agreement is governed by Swiss law; place of jurisdiction is Zug, Switzerland, the registered seat of WatchSalon AG. Your statutory rights stay untouched.
